In 2014, the city promoted the construction of educational equity and connotations. Newly built (reformed) 6 public kindergartens and newly created 60 provincial modern compulsory schools, 70% of popular high school enrollment quota assigned to junior high schools within the same districts. Six million Yuan municipal-level special relief fund was established that aims at helping poor children going to schools. There were 791 disabled and poor students who received help in education. New campus of special education school was built in the city.
Baoying, Gaoyou, Yizheng, Jiangdu basically passed the national monitoring and evaluation on National Model Counties (cities, districts) for Balanced Development of Compulsory Education.
The passing rate of class II of the college entrance examination reached 58.4%, increased by 5% than that of last year. Yangzhou Technician College was named as the National Outstanding Unit for Cultivating Skilled Talents.
